Obituary for Michael Paul Nance
Michael Paul Nance, age 69, passed away on January 27, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, Christian and Roseanna (Nee Harty) Nance, his sister, Marge Nance Kramer and his brother in law, Bob Kappler. He is survived by his siblings, Roseanna Nance Glassberg, Christine Nance Kappler, Geraldine Nance Holmes (Bunky), Romayne Nance Jones (John), Madeline Nance Milligan (Jim) and Bridget Nance Gels (John), and loving partner Julia Zinader. Also survived by 13 nieces, 9 nephews, 6 great nieces and 9 great nephews, and a multitude of beloved Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.
Michael served with the Marine Corps 1968 to 1970, he is a Vietnam Veteran, recipient of 2 Purple Hearts. His talent ranged from accomplished teacher, carpenter, blues musician, Radio DJ, and author for Blues publications. Dear to Michael’s heart were his family, his music, dogs, kids, the Outer Banks, Vermont and their syrup, and a good laugh. He certainly had a great laugh and we will miss hearing it.
Family and friends are invited to attend his Visitation on Sat. February 8, 2020 from 1-3 pm immediately followed by his Remembrance Service at 3pm both at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals 212 Ark Road Mount Laurel, NJ 08077. Interment will be private.
