Obituary for Vincent James "Sonny" Scerati
Vincent James "Sonny" Scerati, age 83, of Mount Laurel, NJ, passed away on September 1, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.
Vince was born in Camden, NJ, raised in Swedesboro and Philadelphia, and was a resident of Mount Laurel, NJ. His work ethic was second to none and he worked for the same company, McLane, for over 50 years. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling, even coaching children how to bowl as well as coaching other sports teams for years. He enjoyed Horse Racing, Softball, Golf, Nascar, and following all types of Sports, Football especially the Steelers. He was proud of his Italian heritage and always cherished the time spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Connie Lentz-Scerati; his children, Anthony James Scerati, Vincent J. Scerati, Jr., Jackie Johnson, Patricia Scerati, Bernadette Scerati-Scott and Chrissy Scerati-Maslin; his grandchildren Taylor, Nicholas, Olivia, Dominic, Dennis, and Nicole; Great Grandson, Dylan; his sisters, Julie Scerati and Barbara Guarnere. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and brother and sister-in-laws.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday September 9, 2020 from 3:30-4:30pm at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. His Memorial Service will immediately follow at 4:30pm. Interment is private.
