Obituary for Ada Trilling (Godel)

Ada Godel Nir Trilling, 83, of Wildwood, FL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 12, 2022. Born in Husi, Romania, she immigrated to Israel where she met and married the late Dov Nir. The couple came to the US in 1974, becoming citizens of the United States. They resided in Toms River, NJ, where they raised their two children and enjoyed a long and happy marriage. Ada loved children, and spent many years as a caregiver for kids of all ages. Ada also enjoyed travel, and with second husband, the late Aaron Trilling, visited many other parts of the country and the world, enjoying the natural beauty of national parks such as Yellowstone, Badlands, Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Glacier. She toured many countries including Australia, France, China, Italy, and the Czech Republic. Late in life, she moved to be by her daughter in FL, where she enjoyed the companionship of new friends at The American House. All who knew Savta (grandma in Hebrew) celebrated her quick wit, her big heart, and her legendary chicken soup!

Ada is survived by her daughter Sara Nir Branscome and husband Dennis, of The Villages, FL; son Ishai Nir and wife Kim, of Hamilton, NJ; grandchildren Daniel Branscome and wife Kori, Nathan Branscome and wife Katie, Justin Nir and Carolyn Mayer, Devon Nir and Matthew Arsenault, and Dylan Nir and fiancée Claire Wiley; great-grandchildren Luca Branscome and Shepard Branscome; she also leaves behind step-grandchildren, Madeline Trilling; Sam, Hannah, Nathan, and Payton Trilling; and Max and Olivia Friedman. Finally, she is survived by many dear friends, some of whom she has known since she immigrated to this country nearly 50 years ago.

Relatives and friends are invited to Ada's visitation on Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 9:30AM to 10:00AM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. A service will follow 10AM. Interment to follow at Fountain Lawn Cemetery, 545 Eggert Crossing Rd, Trenton, NJ 08638.
