Obituary for Antoinette Piacenza (D'Attoma)
Antoinette Piacenza (nee D’Attoma), age 92, of Hainesport, NJ passed away at home while surrounded by loving family on Monday, September 9, 2019.
Mrs. Piacenza was born in Queens, NY, raised in Brooklyn, NY and had resided in Astoria, NY and Whitestone, NY before moving to Hainesport in 2000. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, enjoyed sewing, loved bus trips to the casino, and was an enthusiastic poker player on Wednesdays nights. But above all else, she cherished time spent with family and many beloved friends. She will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind.
Antoinette was predeceased by her beloved spouse of 70 years, Sabino A. “Lefty” Piacenza; her loving daughter, Mary Ann Sperrazza; and siblings John D’Attoma (Anna), Joseph D’Attoma (Angie), Angelo D’Attoma (Marion), and Lucy DelloRusso (Pat). She is survived by her son, Marc Piacenza; son-in-law, Robert Sperrazza; grandchildren, Eric, Caitlin, and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Ariana, Michael, Sofia, Eva, Ella, and Tess; and many devoted nephews and nieces.
A viewing will be held on Friday, September 13th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Bradley & Stow Funeral Home, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, NJ 08055. A subsequent viewing will be held on Saturday, September 14th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM and immediately followed by mass of Christian burial, both at Our Lady Queen of Peace RC Church, 1603 Marne Highway, Hainesport, NJ 08036. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
