Obituary for Arlene E. Bernard (Harris)

Arlene E. Bernard, age 85, former resident of Mt. Laurel, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 13, 2022.

Arlene was born in Port Ewen, NY to the late David and Druscilla Harris, and had resided in Mt. Laurel for over 30 years before her current residence of 3 years in Riverton, NJ. She had a very strong faith and was a parishioner of First Presbyterian Church in Moorestown, NJ for over 40 years. Arlene was also an accomplished and talented musician, having played the piano and organ for many years. She would often play the organ and sing during services at church as well as play piano for the local nursing home. In her free time, Arlene enjoyed socializing with her friends and going out to restaurants with them. But above all else, Arlene loved spending time with her family, who meant the world to her.

Arlene is predeceased by her sons, Kyle and Kevin Bernard and her former husband and friend, Donald Bernard. She is survived by her children, Eric Bernard (Donna), Steve Bernard (Jane), Diane Carberry (Glenn), and Scott Bernard (Tina); Daughters in law, Karen Bernard and Beth Bernard; grandchildren, Melissa, Dylan, Abigail, Steven, Victoria, Jessica, Kyle, Joshua, Justina, Rebecca, Danielle, Zachary, Colton, and Kayla; and great-grandchildren, Gavin, McKayla, and Kyle, Jr; and her loving friend, Suellen Bernard.

Relatives and friends are welcome to her viewing on Thursday, August 18th, from 9:30-11:00AM, followed immediately by her funeral service. Both will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 101 Bridgeboro Rd, Moorestown, NJ 08057. Interment will follow services at the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
