Obituary for Audrey Mildred Potter
Audrey M. Potter, our dear aunt, passed away on January 19, 2024. Audrey was born on August 24, 1936 in Riverside, NJ, and later resided in Mount Laurel. She was the beloved daughter of Lester and Mildred Potter. She was a lifelong member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.
Audrey graduated from Riverside High School in 1953 and began working at B.F. Goodrich. She spent most of her career as an executive assistant for the Moorestown Township Board of Education, where she made many friends.
Audrey loved the seashore and enjoyed family vacations on Long Beach Island. Most especially, she loved her niece, Barbara, and nephew, George, whom she treated as her own children. Her care and devotion will never be forgotten.
Audrey was predeceased by her loving sister Joan McGirr (George W.) of Mount Laurel and special aunt and friend Emma Kain of Riverside. She will be deeply missed by Barbara Kelly (Joseph) of Medford, George McGirr of Egg Harbor Township, cousin Jean Myers of Delran, and best friend Vicki Tyson of Marlton.
Relatives and friends are invited to Audrey’s viewing on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 10AM to 11AM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. Funeral service will follow at 11AM. Interment Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington, NJ.
