Obituary for Barbara Ann Smith (Meier)
Barbara Ann Smith (nee Meier), age 85, of Mount Laurel, NJ passed away, while surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, September 16, 2021.
Barbara was born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, PA and lived in Willingboro, NJ before settling in Mount Laurel. Over the course of her career as a registered nurse, she worked at various hospitals in PA, NY and in NJ. Barbara was strong in her faith and a devoted member of the Catholic Church. Her family and friends were the most important aspects of her life. She will be missed deeply by her loved ones.
Barbara is predeceased by her parents, William and Florence Meier; her brothers, William and James Meier.
Barbara is survived by her husband, George H. Smith; her children, Kevin Smith, Karen Smith (Raymond Goon) and Brian Smith; her grandson, Brentyn Smith; Barbara is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, friends and in-laws.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, September 21 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, September 22 from 8:30am to 9:30am at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 22 at 10:00am at St. John Neumann RC Church, 560 Walton Avenue, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. Interment will follow at Jesus Bread of Life Catholic Cemetery, Mount Laurel, NJ.
