Obituary for Betty Ann Boggs

Betty Ann Boggs was born on July 24, 1941 in New York, NY to the late Cecil and Thelma Boggs. She was raised in Princess Anne County Virginia (known as Virginia Beach, VA now) and graduated from Princess Anne County Training School in 1960. Betty was the oldest of five siblings and matriarch of her family. She spent most of her adult years in Philadelphia and New Jersey. Betty retired after many years of working in such positions as Sales Associate. Sales Representative, and Bookkeeper. She was a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Stars, F&AM, and served in many community service positions, such as: Girl Scout Troop Leader, Team Mom, Coach, and Mentor.

Betty is predeceased by her grandparents: Joseph and Annie Boggs and John and Hattie McPherson. Brothers: Kenneth and Cecil Boggs, Jr. and a Grandson Calvin CJ James III.

She leaves to cherish her memories one sister, Shirley Childers (Earl) and one brother Larry Boggs (Darrline). One Uncle, Elton Boggs. Five children: Subrina Boggs, Pamela Renee Briggs-Ford, Cynthia Chester (Buddy), Elmore Briggs, Jr. (April), Michael Briggs, and a special grandson Cameron Demetrius Briggs. Twelve (12) grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Celebration of Life for Betty Ann Boggs will be held at Westampton Courts Clubhouse, 1 Westampton Drive, Westampton, NJ 08060, on Saturday, January 18, at 3:00 p.m.
