Obituary for Beulah Lee Turner (Hill)

Beulah Lee Turner, Loving Mother and Grandmother was called home on January 19, 2019 at the age of 92, surrounded by her loving family.
Beulah was born and raised in Raleigh, NC where she resided with her siblings of which she was one of seven children. Beulah attended Catholic school and was found to be quite informed as a student. It was in North Carolina that she met who would ultimately be her lifelong husband.
As a military wife she lived abroad for 3 years before moving to South Jersey. She was a member of the Maple Temple Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC. She was a very generous woman who loved her family and was a mother figure to many. She enjoyed reading, attending museums, family time and family outings at church, and was an active in following politics and American Baseball primarily the Dodgers and Mets.
She was predeceased by her husband, Willie H. Turner and her grandson, David Juan Brown. She is survived by her children, Walter H. Turner, Connie L. Turner, William H. Turner, Barry D. Turner and his wife Joan, Joel L. Turner; her grandchildren, Tyann Turner, Candra Turner, Ian Turner, Brandon Turner, Traevor Turner and Kailyn Turner; her great grandchildren, Travon Walker, Tyler Walker, Jayda Ali, Amyah Turner, Andre Barboza and Aryhana. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, some of which she spoke to almost daily like Paul, Dot Jean and Cheryl and others who chimed in from time to time to share joy and laughter and a timely hug as needed.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, immediately followed by the service both at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to www.stjude.org/donate
