Obituary for Beverly Ann Lindsey
Beverly Ann Lindsey of Jersey City N.J. passed away on February 26, 2022. Born to the late Alice and Herbert Barbee on November 17, 1950.
She was a devout Christian. She knew that God was the head of her life, and her faith was strong in the Lord. She was loving, supportive, and strong. For over 20 years she was an educator and a US Post Office worker. She was an avid sports fan. She loved tennis, basketball, football, volleyball, and much more. She also had a love for music from gospel music to old school R&B. Her love of music playlists was long and enjoyable.
She is survived by her husband Henry Lindsey; Children: Octavia Paige (Marvin), Karnique Thorpe (Jerome), and Karnette Thaxter (Mark); Grandchildren: Jahlil Thorpe, Keina Thorpe, Melody Paige, Jonathan Thaxter, and Emmanual Thaxter; Siblings: Late Octavia Swepson, Linda Bradley (Charles), Gloria Holmes and Michele Barbee. Extended family members: grandchildren: Kimberly Magnani, Anthony Gayle, Marvin Davis, Brandon Morris, adoptive daughter Cheryl Casabona and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
In lieu of a service, there will be a Celebration of Life gathering on June 4, 2022, with a release of balloons in the evening in honor of her memory. Please save the date.
