Obituary for Cecilia O. Angulo
Cecilia (“Ceil”) O. Angulo, age 81, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2020, following prayers and loving words with her children.
Ceil was born and raised in Cebu City, Philippines, and immigrated to the Unites States with her family in 1973. She and her husband, Raffy, were married for 55 years. Their 50th wedding anniversary celebration was quite the party, attended by nearly 200 relatives and close friends from near and far. Ceil was known for her vibrant personality, sense of humor, and generosity. She and Raffy were inseparable. They resided in Mount Laurel, New Jersey for over 40 years. Before retiring, Ceil had an accomplished career as an Architect and Engineer with Stone & Webster and Boeing where she worked on major projects including power plants, submarines, and aircraft. She was a devoted member of the Our Lady of Good Counsel Church parish in Moorestown where she was a member of the Church Choir for many years. In her free time, Ceil loved singing karaoke, playing the piano, and traveling. She truly enjoyed singing in front of an audience. Her memorable trips included going to Italy to see Pope John Paul II, and visiting loved ones in Canada, the Philippines, California and Florida. Above all else, she cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. Ceil beamed with pride when speaking about her children, their spouses, and her granddaughters. Her heart filled with joy whenever she was with them.
Ceil is predeceased by her husband, Rafael Angulo; and four of her siblings. Ceil is survived by her children, Rachel Jabara (Richard) and Michael Angulo (Susan); her grandchildren, Mia and Isabel Jabara, and Sophie and Chloe Angulo; and her siblings, Joven Du, Romeo Ouano, Norma Reyes, Estrella Kee, and Ernesto Ouano.
