Obituary for Charles E. John, Jr.
Charles E. John, Jr. “Charlie” age 85 of Delran, formerly of Willingboro, passed away on February 16, 2024.
Charlie was born on November 12, 1938 to the late Jane and Charles E. John, Sr. in Riverside, NJ. He was known to be a “jack of all trades” and loved fixing, building and tinkering with anything, specifically cars. Charlie graduated from Riverside High School and was very involved with the reunion committee over the years. He graduated from Drexel University and went work at the Campbell’s Soup Company. Charlie was retired from Campbell’s Soup Company as Director of CNA Systems Administration after 37 years.
He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In his free-time Charlie enjoyed gardening, fishing and bowling. He was previously involved in Corpus Christi CYO, Campbell’s Federal Credit Union for 55 years, Ashley Crossing Home Owners Association and the Riverside Historical Society. Charlie will be missed deeply by his loved ones.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patricia (nee Mullane); his daughters, Kristine DeNardo (Michael), Cheryl Dusheck (Brian), Carolynn Minnock (Joseph) and Pamela McLaughlin (Robert); his grandchildren, Marissa Dusheck, Jane DeNardo, Andrew Dusheck, Malachy McLaughlin, Nicholas DeNardo, Alexandra DeNardo and Garrett Dusheck; brothers and sisters-in-law – especially Denise Mullane, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Charlie is predeceased by his brothers Robert and Richard John.
Relatives and friends are invited to Charlie’s viewing on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 10AM – 12PM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. Funeral service will follow at 12PM. Interment is private at the request of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Charlie’s name to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at www.pancan.org.
