Obituary for Charles Henry Raymond II
Charles H. Raymond, II age 65, passed away on August 21, 2021.
Charles was born in Fort Eustis, VA to Charles H. Raymond, Sr. and the late Isabella (nee Elam). He bravely served in the United States Army, reaching the rank of Major. He attended the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School and Roger Williams University. Charles worked for the State of New Jersey as a corrections officer. In his free time, Charles enjoyed playing guitar, working, swimming, all Philadelphia sports teams and was the best family man.
Charles is survived his wife, Vanessa (nee Diggs); his father Charles H. Raymond, Sr.; children, Charles H. Raymond, III, Shawn A. Raymond (Angela), and Christia J. Raymond; siblings, Debra Thompson, Gail Watson (Charles), Kevin Raymond and Terry Raymond; grandchildren, Ethan, Eric, Jahmir, Justis, Cordero, Chance, and Royal; in-laws, Diane, William (Sheila), and Vidella; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews , cousins and friends. Charles is predeceased by his mother, Isabella Raymond and in-laws Sandy Freeman, Marilyn Tucker, Joseph Diggs, III and Lindsay Diggs.
Family and friends are welcome to a viewing on Friday, August 27, 2021, from 9:00-11:00 AM, followed immediately by a Funeral Service. Both will be held at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054. Interment Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
