Charles O. Whitehead, III, age 80 of Tabernacle, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 21, 2022.

Charles was born on September 25, 1942 in Pelahatchie, Mississippi to the late Charles and Rebekah Whitehead. He was retired from Rohm and Hass where he was an Analytical Research Scientist. Charles loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed water skiing and reading. Charles was a hardworking and organized man that always completed every project that he started. He will be missed deeply by his family and friends.

Charles is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elaine (nee Snedeker); his children, Kimberly A. Bersin (Robert), Scott Whitehead (Patti) and Christine Winkelspecht (James); siblings, Cindy Meziere and James Whitehead (Cheryl); grandchildren, James, Bethany, Molly, Hannah, Joshua, James III, Caleb and Noah; great-granddaughter, Brielle.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, November 13th, 2022. Join us at 1:00pm at Shawnee Baptist Church with a light luncheon to follow. Shawnee Baptist Church, 303 Oakshade Rd, Shamong, NJ 08088
