Obituary for Christine Patricia Haertel
Christine Patricia Haertel of Mount Laurel, NJ passed away while surrounded by her children on Thursday May 9, 2019. She is survived by her sons and their spouses, Michael & Erjona Potenski and Brian & Kimberly Potenski, granddaughter Caitlin Potenski, her siblings and their spouses, Larry & Michelle Haertel, Joanne & Jim Rodgers, Bob & Louise Haertel, and her ten nieces and nephews.
Christine was born in Bronx, NY and was a lifelong resident of New Jersey. She worked in the mortgage industry for over 20 years but was most proud of her accomplishments as a devoted mother to her children. After her well-earned retirement, Christine would enjoy reading a book outside while sipping on a cold iced tea or visiting a lake to feed the ducks. Recently her most cherished time was going on short trips and to restaurants with close friends and family, and arts and crafts with her beloved granddaughter Caitlin. Christine will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind, especially her eternally grateful children.
At the request of the family, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Christine’s name may be made to Samaritan Health Care & Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053 or to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
