David W. Curry, age 89, of Mt. Laurel, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 20^th, 2023.

David, or Walt as many knew him, was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Louisa and David Curry, Sr. He was a resident of Mt. Laurel for over 49 years. Walt was an Airman First Class in the Air Force, then had a career in printing for many years before his retirement in 1999. In his free time, he enjoyed boating, fishing, and watching wildlife, especially the birds and deer in his backyard. Growing up in Philadelphia, he was also a huge Philly sports fan and would always be cheering on the Flyers and Eagles. But above all else, Walt loved spending time with his family, especially his great-grandchildren.

Walt is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Barbara Curry (nee Ruppel); children, Sharon Githens (Chuck), David Curry III (Susan Murray), and Michael Curry (Theresa); grandchildren, Lori Stuck (Nick), David Curry IV (Paige), Stephen Vergilio, Jr. (Grace), Kevin Curry (Kait), Hannah Curry, and Nicole Curry; and great-grandchildren, Aria Curry and Bruce Stuck.

At the request of the family, services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Walt’s memory may be made to the Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge in Medford, NJ.
