Dawn M. Medici, age 50, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 10, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Dawn was born on October 27, 1972 to Linda and Francis Medici in Philadelphia, PA. She resided in Mount Laurel and, previously, in Marlton, New Jersey. Dawn was a graduate of Cherokee High School and she received her teaching degree from Trenton State College. Dawn was a third grade teacher in Bordentown, where she loved making a difference in her students’ lives. Dawn was presented with the prestigious Governor’s Educator of the Year and Legacy Leader teacher awards. In her free-time, she loved dogs, enjoyed reading, the beach, crocheting, music, going to concerts with her friends, cooking and baking. Dawn’s cookies were the highlight of every holiday season. She will be missed deeply by her loved ones.

Dawn is predeceased by her mom, Linda Medici and her step-brother Stephen Nebel. She is survived by her dad, Francis Medici and his wife, Janice; her siblings, Dina Medici-Vaughan (Bill) and Frank Medici (Rosalie Velardo); step-sister Gina Meza (Rob); her adoring nieces and nephews, Brooklyn, Liam, Jake, Madden, Daulton, Nolen, Natalie and Michael. Dawn was also predeceased by her loving fur baby, Renzi. Dawn leaves behind many loving friends, neighbors, and colleagues.

Relatives and friends are invited to Dawn’s viewing on Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 2:30pm to 5:30pm at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. A second viewing will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023 from 10am to 11am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 100 Willow Bend Road, Marlton, NJ 08053. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am.  Interment private at the request of the family.
