Obituary for Dolores Helen Wilkinson
Dolores Helen Wilkinson, age 91, passed peacefully on November 23, 2021 after a long, blessed life.
Born in Mount Holly, NJ, Dolores had been a resident of Burlington County her entire life, most of which was spent in Moorestown. She was a graduate of Moorestown High School ('48) and spent most of her career as payroll administrator for Moorestown Township. In retirement she devoted over 25 years as a volunteer at the Memorial-Virtua Hospital thrift shop in Mt. Holly. Dolores was a huge animal lover and had many dogs over the years, even up to her death where she had adopted a poodle during the pandemic. Her hobbies had included: sewing, knitting, cake decorating and even, square dancing. Most recently you could find her playing cards, reading, catching up on a Netflix series, or favorite TV show, as well as enjoying the company of family and friends. As an avid game player, she was well known among the ladies at the Weston Club where she lived in recent years. Most cherished was time with her family and grandchildren. She was married to her husband, Robert G. Wilkinson for 63 years before his passing in January 2015. They had a wonderful life, enjoyed traveling, caring for their home, and kept family and friends close.
Dolores is survived by children, Jill Arroyo and Scott Wilkinson; her grandchildren, Sydney Arroyo, Christian Arroyo and Shane Wilkinson and her sister, Mary Lou Morgan.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Wed. December 22, 2021 from 10am -11am, and her Memorial Service immediately after. Following services, all are welcome to light food and refreshments. All will be held at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. Interment will be private.
