Obituary for Dominic Thomas Nanni

Dominic Thomas Nanni, of Mount Laurel, NJ passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at the age of 71.
Dominic was born and raised in Lambertville, NJ, to Henry Nanni and Edna Nanni (nee Monteverde). Moving to South Jersey in his late 20s, he met his wife, Lynn, while working for 3M in Pennsauken. They settled in Mount Laurel, NJ, where they raised their two daughters.

Dominic was an avid fan of baseball, playing himself and coaching his 2 daughters. He was also a history buff, reading any history book he could get his hands on, watching every documentary he could find and often incorporating historical locales into family trips. He enjoyed family day trips to Peddler’s Village in Lahaska, PA, and Cape May, NJ, as well as annual trips to Lancaster, PA. Dominic could strike up a conversation with anyone he met about literally any topic in the past or present. His sense of humor and ability to make people laugh always meant a good time when he was around. Always a prankster, one would be wise to watch their back if Dominic was being too quiet. However, Dominic was best known for his love of cooking and baking, constantly reading cooking books, watching cooking shows and trying new recipes.

Mr. Nanni is survived by his beloved wife, Lynn Nanni (nee Hermanns); daughters, Karen Moran (Tim) and Rachael Cancellieri (Dave}; his beloved pups Scoochie and Bo; sister, Linda Jesunas (Bill); granddaughter, Isla Rose Moran; grandson Nicholas Dominic Cancellieri; and several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 12, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, followed immediately by a funeral service, both at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel. Final disposition will be private.
