Obituary for Edward Richard Palm

Edward Richard Palm, 91 of Willingboro, New Jersey died peacefully after a lengthy illness in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, October 4, 2021. Ed was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Ed developed a strong sense of family, community, and the Catholic faith. A Korean war veteran, he proudly served in the US Army. Along with his wife of 64 years, Eunice, he raised five children in Willingboro, New Jersey where they lived for the last 61 years. He was a committed parishioner and founding member of Corpus Christi Church. He is remembered fondly by all who knew him for his unwavering work ethic, commitment to family, God and country, for being a loyal Phillies, Eagles and Notre Dame fan. An avid golfer, he organized many golf tournaments for his church, supported many LPGA charity events, and played a great game at St. Andrews in Scotland.

Nothing made Ed happier than to celebrate the holidays with his beloved family. Always hosting the large gatherings, he wrote plays that he made sure all his grandchildren held leading roles.

An interested writer, Ed penned a loving biography of his mother, Caroline, in the book, “What’s the Turkey’s Name”. He gave a copy of the book to all children in the family as they went off to college along with a scholarship that was established in her name.

Edward was predeceased by his parents, Edward P. and Caroline M. Palm, his sister Rita Martin and his beloved grandson, James. Surviving is his wife Eunice, five children, David Palm & his wife Dawn, Daniel Palm & his wife Kathryn, Diane Morano & her husband Jay, Debra Kotch & her husband Edward and Deirdre Adams and her husband Joseph, 11 Grandchildren and 12 Great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Corpus Christi Church, 11 South Sunset Road, Willingboro, NJ 08046, on Friday, October 8th 2021, from 11:00-12:00pm, followed immediately by a Funeral Mass. Interment will be private.
