Obituary for Elizabeth M Wilson (Pelosi)

Elizabeth M. Wilson, of Mount Laurel, NJ passed away on Monday, May 16th, 2022 at the age of 99.

Elizabeth was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Francesco and Geormina Pelosi (nee Videtto). In her early life, Elizabeth worked with her father at The Philadelphia La Scala Opera Company where he was an Impresario. While helping, she saw hundreds of operas and really blossomed her passion for opera and The Arts. As she became a young adult, she found her love of travel. She would always fondly remember the many trips she took to Italy and other parts of Europe with her sister, Maria. Eventually, Elizabeth moved to Yardley, PA where she worked as a bookkeeper for Curtin and Heefner Law Office in Morrisville, PA before her retirement. She loved living in Yardley and made many lifelong friends there. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoyed gardening, and loved flowers and hummingbirds.

Elizabeth was a loving and devoted wife to her beloved husband, Burl A. Wilson. They shared their fondness for The Arts and enjoyed going to operas together. They also loved traveling and enjoying wonderful cuisine together. Family was always the most important thing to Elizabeth. She was a remarkable mother and was very active in her daughter, Tina Wilson’s, life. Elizabeth always had Tina in fun activities like ballet and horseback riding when Tina was a child. Elizabeth stressed the importance of education in her daughters life, as well. All throughout Elizabeth's life, she and Tina did everything together. They had a very strong bond, they were truly best friends. She was a kind, generous and loving person to all who met her. She will be sincerely missed.

Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband, Burl A.
