Obituary for Ernest Roberts
Ernest Roberts, age 82, of Moorestown, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 15, 2024.
Ernest was born in Horsham, PA to the late Grace and Jesse James Roberts, and had resided in Edgewater Park, NJ for over 38 years before his current residence in Moorestown. Ernest joined the United States Army in 1959, and served his country for 26 years before his retirement in 1985. He was a “jack of all trades”, and was always giving a helping hand to others. Ernest loved to cook, having been a cook in while in the Army, but he especially loved to cook for his family and friends. He was a wonderful man and will be sincerely missed.
Ernest is predeceased by his spouse, Irmgard Roberts (nee Oswald); and his children, Stefan Roberts, Johnny Greene, and Theresa Roberts.
He is survived by his children, Malko Oswald (Janice), Claudia Snively (Jay), Peggy Jones (Sam), Gwen Jeffress (Richards), Sonja Roberts, Jessica Fischer (Paul), and Brandy Roberts; siblings, Della and Joseph Roberts; grandchildren, Corey Davis (Lauren), Samantha Davis, Nic Jeffress, Nicole Jeffress, Kierra Coleman, Molly Fischer, Mackenzie Fischer, Justin Fischer, Madison Roberts and Cassie Tyler; and beloved great-grandchildren, Abby, Luna, Wynter, Kya, and Leilani.
Relatives and friends are welcome to his viewing on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 10:00-11:00AM at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054. Burial service will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery, 4527 US-130, Burlington, NJ 08016.
