In Loving Memory of Evelyn Marjorie Rohmer

May 19, 1941 – July 31, 2023

Evelyn Marjorie Rohmer, a wonderful woman who graced this world with her warmth and compassion, peacefully passed away on July 31, 2023. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and an unwavering spirit that touched the lives of all who knew her. Evelyn's departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched.

Evelyn's journey began when she was born on May 19, 1941, in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.  She never would have thought her journey would take her to live all over the world – having lived in Canada, Trinidad, USA, and Australia.

Evelyn was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, auntie, and friend. She married her soulmate, Bill, in 1960, and together they embarked on a beautiful journey of love and companionship that spanned over six decades. Their bond was unbreakable, built on a foundation of trust, respect, and unwavering support.

Evelyn's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She adored them unconditionally, cherishing every moment spent with them. She delighted in their laughter, celebrated their achievements, and loved spoiling them with gifts. Her love and support will forever shape their lives.

Evelyn had a range of hobbies and interests that brought her joy and fulfillment. She was very involved in every community in which she lived, volunteered for a number of organizations, loved playing bridge, shopping in antique and thrift stores, remembering moments through photos, doing puzzles, playing golf, and catching up with friends and family.  She loved to travel, having explored multiple continents and countries around the world – with her favorite locations being Ireland and England.  Evelyn loved to host and entertain and was a wonderful gourmet cook, which many of us had the privilege to experience over the years.

Evelyn is survived by her loving husband, Bill, her children, Leslie (Rick), Patti (Tim) and Julie (Ken), her grandchildren Jessica, Ben, Daniel, Allison, Lynsey, Tiana, Chanelle, John, and Rose, and her great-grandchildren, Arabella, Malia, Carter, Mateo, Marco, James, and RJ, along with Evelyn’s sisters, Barb and Jeanne, sisters-in-laws/brother-in-laws, Sue/Ron, Anne-Marie, Marty/Jim, Matt/Chris, and all of her many nieces and nephews.

Two memorial services to celebrate Evelyn's wonderful life will be held in early September in Lumberton, NJ at Lumberton Leas Community Center, and then in early October in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
