Frances Catherine “Bobbie” Maguire, a longtime resident of Delran, NJ passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 surrounded by her loving and devoted family.

She was born on March 9, 1934 to Aloysius Scullan, a WWI navy veteran, and Elizabeth Connors, originally from Newfoundland, Canada. Along with her siblings Elizabeth (“Betty”) DeMoine, Rosemary Scullan and John Scullan, Sr., she was raised in the Brewerytown section of Philadelphia, PA and later moved to the Fairview section of Camden, NJ. She attended Hallahan Catholic Girls High School, graduated from business school, and worked in banking and as a bookkeeper in center city Philadelphia. After her children were born, she volunteered and worked in the Delran, NJ school system. On September 8, 1962, she married Walter J. Maguire who survives her with their sons Michael (and wife Anastasia Sakelaris) and Patrick (and wife Rocío Campos) and daughter Tracey and grandchildren Sean, Lorenzo, and Diego.

She was a devout Catholic and founding member of Holy Name Church (now Resurrection Parish), former choir member, and Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) teacher. Bobbie was a member of the Willingboro Women’s Club, where she held office, and the Road Riders wives’ group, who were cherished friends. But her most treasured roles were those of wife and mother. She enjoyed going for walks, spending time with her family in the house she loved, chatting with friends, gardening, watching hummingbirds, doing word search puzzles, and re-reading her favorite books.
