Obituary for Frederick "Fred" Bauer III
Frederick Bauer, III of Mount Laurel, New Jersey passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024. He was 90 years old and had lived a long and blessed life.
Fred was born in Easton, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of Mount Laurel for 57 years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Captain. He graduated from the University of Texas – Austin in 1962. After many years of military service, he worked as a commercial airline pilot, for Eastern Airlines, for 25 years.
In his free time, Fred enjoyed watching western movies; watching his Phillies religiously; reading (and quoting) the Wall Street Journal; and a good long conversation with his neighbors, friends, and family. He also enjoyed breakfast with his buddies; watching his grandkids play sports; and he always looked forward to holiday meals and a really good cheeseburger. He will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind.
Surviving are his son, Christopher Bauer (Johanna); daughter, Karen Sobota (Gene); sister, Nedra Kunisch (Philip); grandchildren, Angie Cupp, Cheryl Faske, Nick Sobota, Ryan Bauer, and Nolan Bauer; and great-grandchildren, Hannah Faske, Kelsey Cupp, Owen Faske, and Addison Cupp.
