Obituary for George Henry Anstey
George Henry Anstey Jr, age 81, passed away on March 7, 2024. He was born in Philadelphia PA to the late George Henry Anstey Sr and Loretta Anstey. He was a resident of Mount Laurel, NJ.
After graduating from Lasalle University, George dedicated his career to serving his country through his work as an Avionics Specialist for the Dept of Navy and Dept of Defense.
In his leisure time, George enjoyed watching basketball, cheering on the local colleges and high schools, and watching local players develop and progress through the sport. He also cherished moments spent sailing, finding solace and adventure on the open waters.
George is survived by his children, Chris Anstey, Kimberly Anstey, James Anstey (Erin) and Victoria Anstey; his grandchildren, Julian, Oihana and Joseba; his siblings, Francis Anstey, Lea Jones, Suzanne Hopper, William Anstey and the late Michael Anstey. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday March 23rd, 2024. From 12-2 pm at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals 212 Ark Road Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. A funeral service will follow immediately at 2 pm. Interment is private.
