Obituary for George Joseph Walls Jr.
George Joseph Walls Jr., age 87, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 8th, 2021. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, cousin and friend.
George was born in Jersey City to George Walls Sr. and Catherine Kelly. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. He graduated from Seton Hall University in 1956 and worked as a Systems Analyst for RCA, then for DSA, and as a consultant for Comverse Inc. He was married to his wife Patricia for 64 years. He cherished most the time spent with family and will be deeply missed by his loved ones.
He is survived by his wife Patricia M. Walls (Denvir), his children Kenneth J. Walls (wife Noelle Talbot deceased), George J. Walls III and his wife Margaret M. Walls (Kane), Karen A. Dean (Walls) and her husband Michael J. Dean, Susan J. Rothstein (Walls) and her husband Gerald T. Rothstein Jr., Michael Walls and his wife Caren L. Walls (Caplan), his grandchildren Katherine T. McKinnon (Walls) and her husband Mark McKinnon, Kerry L. Barbieri (Horleman) and her husband Edward G. Barbieri III, Samuel F. Walls, Erin D. Horleman, Karlee P. Dean, John D. Walls, Jacob M. Dean, Meghan P. Horleman, Laurel C. Walls, and his great grandchildren Rosalie N. McKinnon, Emerson M. Barbieri, and Madeline G. McKinnon.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, February 13, from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ. Funeral mass will follow at 11:00 AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 11 South Sunset Road, Willingboro, NJ 08046. Private interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
