Obituary for Gerald Paul Campagna

Gerald Paul Campagna, 75, of Moorestown, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in New Rochelle, New York, to Frank and Concetta (nee Abbate) Campagna, Gerald was raised in Eastampton, a longtime resident of Mount Laurel, and most recently resided in Moorestown.  Jerry was an avid car enthusiast and a member of many car clubs including, BMW, Porsche, and Audi. Those closest to Jerry would easily say the driver’s seat was his second home, and his ideal day would be going to a Cars and Coffee, followed by a slice of pepperoni pizza.

Described by friends and family as thoughtful and intelligent, Gerald could also be private and quiet. Music, however, provided him an important space for self-expression.  Jerry conducted and sang in the church choir at Our Lady Queen of Peace (Hainesport), and played the piano, organ, bass guitar, and upright bass. He loved to listen to music as well, and especially enjoyed show tunes, classical music, The Beatles, and live performances at The State Theater in New Brunswick where he retired as Chief Financial Officer in 2015.

Longtime loving companion of Debbie LaManna; devoted father of Jeffrey (Amy) Campagna; dear brother of Janice Campagna; cherished uncle of Benjamin (Dana) and Andrea (Steve).  Gerald is also survived by a sister-in-law, Geraldine Campagna, and predeceased by his parents, Frank and Concetta Campagna, a brother, Richard Campagna and a nephew, Steve.

Relatives and friends are invited to Jerry's visitation on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, 10:00 - 11:00 AM, at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, New Jersey, followed by a Funeral Ceremony at 11:00 AM and interment at Jesus Bread of Life Cemetery, Mount Laurel, New Jersey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Gerald's name to American Diabetes Association (
