Obituary for Gertrude Louise "Trudy" Honey
Trudy L. Honey, age 78, passed away in Mount Laurel, NJ on Sunday, June 5, 2022.
Trudy was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Horst Max William Prehl and Ruth Ann Schor (nee Kramer). She had resided in Florida, Indiana, and Palmyra, NJ before her current residence in Mt. Laurel, NJ. Trudy played the Banjo and was in the Mummer’s Parade several times throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s. In the 1980’s she was also an Umpire for her local Bordentown sports teams. As she got older, Trudy found a love and passion for video games, especially World of Warcraft. She had been playing WoW online since the Beta launch in 2001. She had made many beloved friends online who will all miss her very deeply. She loved making new friends online, making people laugh, sharing her political beliefs and spreading positivity. In her free time, Trudy also loved to cook and bake. But above all else, Trudy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Trudy is predeceased by her daughter, Rebecca Christine Staller. She is survived by her daughter, Ruthie Honey; siblings, Teresa Vollmer, Anthony Vollmer, Thomas Vollmer, Theodore Vollmer, Celeste Schor, Natalie Ethington (Bradley Ethington), Lesha Prehl Yerka, Denise Prehl Favorat, and HM William Prehl, Jr.; grandchildren, Robert Nelson Brown, Samantha Louise Treat (nee Brown), Alexander Jerome Brown, Christopher James Brasby-Honey, Naomi Honey Higgins, and Adrian Imani Higgins-Honey; great-grandchildren, James Thomas Honey, Owen Zachary Treat, Isabelle Louise Treat, and Adley Brown; nieces and nephews, Laura Brody (Max Kaiserman), Christian Lombard, Sarah Lombard; and grand-nephew, Wyatt Kaiserman.
At the request of the family, services will be private.
