Obituary for Irene P Sanelli (Ludwig)
Irene P. Sanelli (nee Ludwig), age 83, of Mount Laurel, NJ passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022 while surrounded by her loving family.
Irene was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late William and Alice Ludwig, and has resided in Mount Laurel for the last 47 years. While in Philadelphia, she went to Little Flower High School and was a member of the High School Bowling Team. Bowling became a hobby she continued into her adulthood, winning many trophies. For many years, Irene had a strong faith and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Moorestown, NJ, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. In her free time, Irene enjoyed swimming, making arts and crafts, and sewing outfits and dresses for her loved ones; she was a great seamstress. But above all else, Irene loved spending time with her family and friends. She is loved by many and will be sincerely missed.
Irene is predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Angelo Sanelli. She is survived by their daughters, Kathleen Detky (Stephen) and Patricia Quinn; grandchildren, Shannon Quinn, Katherine Quinn, Stephen Detky, and Joseph A. Quinn; brother, William Ludwig (Patricia); sister-in-law, Dorothy Ludwig; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are welcome to her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday November 7, 2022 at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 42 W. Main Street, Moorestown, NJ 08057. Interment will be on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 10:30AM at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA.
