Obituary for Jack Casey Hannon

Jack Casey Hannon (five and a half years old – almost six!) was a jolt of energy and a hug of love to all who knew him. He loved his family and made them better. His parents, Casey and Kristin (D’Onofrio), big brother Brady and little brother Trey, his grandparents Jim and Nancy Hannon, Mark and Sandy D’Onofrio. His aunts, uncles and cousins: Ethan and Kara (D’Onofrio) Byler with Sophia and Juliana, David and Laura D’Onofrio with Caroline and Emily and (Aunt K) Kelly Hannon. Jack joined Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, Joe DiMaggio and his other heroes on Monday August 2.

Jack was a super fan of baseball, football, checkers and chess. Jack is best described as “full throttle” – he gave 100% of himself 100% of the time. He was a warrior in the arena and enjoyed practice as much as any game. Even though he wanted to win, he was always excited just to play. His enthusiasm was infectious. If he was on your team, he would be your greatest cheerleader. His last act was to donate what he could so other children might have life.

Friends can visit on Monday, August 9, 2021 at St. Isaac Jogues Church 349 Evesboro-Medford Rd, Marlton, NJ 08053 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 9:00 until 10:30 AM. A celebration of Jack’s life will immediately follow at 11AM. Jack’s great-uncle, Fr. Paul Galetto, OSA, will lead the celebration. Following the Mass, entombment will take place at Jesus Bread of Life Catholic Cemetery 3055 Fostertown Rd, Mt Laurel Township, NJ 08054

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to one of the following: Trinity Episcopal Preschool at 207 West Main Street, Moorestown, NJ 08057 or Moorestown Youth Baseball Federation at PO Box 549, Moorestown, NJ 08057 (Moorestown Baseball - In honor of Jack). https://www.leagueathletics.com/userForm.asp?REGID=305872&org=moorestownbaseball.org

The family also suggests that all parents and grandparents hug and high five their children. Jack would love that.

Due to the current health circumstances, we ask attendees to consider wearing a mask since children are more vulnerable to the Delta variant. Jack’s favorite color was red.

Funeral services are under the direction of Mt. Laurel Home for Funerals.
