Obituary

James Patrick Little, of Mount Laurel, NJ passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2019, in the comfort of his home. He was 82 years old.

Mr. Little was born and raised in Staten Island, NY. He had been a resident of Mount Laurel for the last 48 years. He was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, in Moorestown, NJ. Mr. Little was a graduate of Villanova University and earned his law degree from Saint John’s University. He was an attorney and a member of the New York Bar Association, most recently, he worked for Reliance Insurance Company, in Philadelphia, PA. In his leisure time, he was fond of spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed bowling, gardening, and traveling, and his passion for Villanova basketball was unprecedented.

Mr. Little was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ellen Little; his second wife, Donna Little; and his brother, Ronald Little. Surviving are his children, Edward Minto (Caroline), Mary Ellen Multer (Glenn), Jane DiGiovanni (Joe), Suzanne O’Brien (Tom), Patrick Little (Lori), Carol Collins (Brian), Erin Matt (Mike), and Edward Matthews (Shannon); and fifteen grandchildren, Derek Multer, Sara DiGiovanni, Courtney Minto, Alexandria Minto, Joseph DiGiovanni, Rachel Multer, Thomas O’Brien, Madison Matt, Sean O’Brien, Jordyn Collins, James Collins, Morgan Matt, Alyssa O’Brien, Ruby Little, and Patrick Little.

Viewings will be held on Monday, February 25, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday, February 26, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM, both at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 26, at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 42 W. Main Street, Moorestown. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Moorestown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society

The Al and Mary Koch family were very close to Jim and Mary Ellen and family when we lived in Mt. Laurel, We have many treasured memories, especially our vacation together in Cape Cod and times at the Jersey shore. Our deepest sympathy to all of the wonderful Little children and their families. Thinking of you all and wishing we could be there.
