Obituary for James Patrick McGory
James Patrick McGory, age 32, of Southampton, NJ passed suddenly on April 29th, 2021.
Jim was a second-year law student at Widener University Delaware Law School. He was in the top of his class, receiving Dean’s Honors both years. In his free time, he enjoyed music, umpiring youth baseball and exercising. He loved completing various academic requirements while having a full view of nature and animals in his expansive backyard. He was in touch with today's political scene and enjoyed discussing current events. Many formidable obstacles had to be overcome in Jim's all too brief life but his unwavering perseverance and incredible work ethic led to his true passion in studying law where he was highly regarded by both classmates and educators. His quick wit coupled with a deep compassion for all things living will be forever missed by all that had the privilege of knowing him.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Anna M. Weiner, James A. McGory, Sr. and Jane McGory. James is survived by his loving parents, James A., Jr. and Cynthia McGory; his grandparents, Henry and Patricia Weiner; his aunts and uncles, Karen Harris (Bob), Carol Gurzynski (Joe), Michael Stoever (Wendy), Gary Weiner, Joe Stoever (Mary), Warren Pestridge (Diane), Howard Pestridge and Catherine McGory Waszkiewicz (Ernie). He was also survived by many cousins.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 10am to 12pm. Immediately followed by his funeral service at 12pm, both at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals 212 Ark Road Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
