Obituary for James J Visco Jr.
James Visco, age 86, of Marlton, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on November 28, 2022.
James was born on August 30, 1936 to the late Anna and James Visco in Philadelphia, PA. He resided in Philadelphia and Medford before residing in Marlton. James started his lifelong career in the grocery business and owed J&J Cold Cuts before moving to New Jersey where he went on to manage several grocery stores before owning Thriftway Supermarket.
In his spare time, James was an avid baseball memorabilia collector. He enjoyed time playing cards each week at the clubhouse.
But he mostly enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, his pride and joys.
James is survived by his children, Mark Visco (Kim), Karen Hertz, and Kelli Peters (Dana); sister, Betty Ouimette; grandchildren, Ray, Heather, Luke, Danielle and Kyle, along with great granddaughter, Aurora.
Friends and relatives are welcome to his visitation on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 10AM to 11AM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. Memorial Service to follow at 11AM. All are welcome to stay and enjoy a light lunch following the service.
