Obituary for Janet Louise Morris (Menzel)
Janet Louise Morris, 84, of Moorestown, New Jersey, passed away on March 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Atlantic City, New Jersey to William and Louise Menzel, Janet has lived all over South Jersey including several homes in her favorite location, Ocean City and in 2019 came to reside in The Evergreens in Moorestown. Her friendly manner and flirty nature turned Janet into a little social butterfly and she thrived at The Evergreens. Jan was talented in so many ways; she was crafty and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and ceramics. Her hands worked magic with these crafts but she also had an eye for fashion and design. She was also a wiz in the kitchen and her family will miss her desserts like tiramisu and her wonderful Christmas cookies. Jan’s family was precious to her and no family get together would be complete without the family rendition of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. Janet will truly be missed by those who loved her.
Beloved wife of the late George Morris and Melvin Adams; loving mother of Thomas Adams, Daniel (Trudy) Adams, William (Catalina) Adams, James (Alicia) Adams, the late Lisa Weyman; loving mother-in-law of Robert (Nancy) Weyman, cherished sister of Thomas (Rosanne) Menzel and Denise (Maria Nina Scarpa) Menzel; devoted grandmother of Alyssa (Scott), Rob, Leah, Seth (Andrea), Edward, Martin, Rosalie, Mark, Julian, Eva, and great grandmother of Charlotte, Adam F., Adam S., and Beatrice Violet. Janet is also survived by her loving cousins and wonderful friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to Janet’s Visitation on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, New Jersey where the Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janet’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or at www.stjude.org
