Obituary for Jean Frances Orlando
Jean F. Orlando, resident of Mount Laurel, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the age of 92.
Jean was born in the Bronx, NY to the late Francis and Mary Gilberti, and lived in Astoria and Flushing, Queens before making Mount Laurel, NJ her home for the last 42 years. She was the past President and trip coordinator of the local AARP, as well as a member of Virtua Memorial Hospital’s Mt. Holly Women’s Auxiliary. In her free time, Jean enjoyed playing mahjong, painting, and spending time with family and friends.
Jean is predeceased by her husband, John R. Orlando, and siblings, Catherine Montreuil, Vincent Gilberti, and Frank Gilberti. She is survived by her children, Donna J. Curtin (Tom), John Orlando (Teresa), and Richard J. Orlando (Leslie); grandchildren, Brian A. Orlando, John T. Curtin, Patrick A. Curtin, Dana Loy (John), Nicholas Orlando, Dawn Evans (Kevin), and Martin Orlando; and great-grandchildren, Kevin (KJ) Evans, Jr., Elizabeth Rose Evans and Logan L. Loy.
Family and friends are welcome to her visitation on Thursday, April 7th, 2022 from 3:00-5:00PM at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Rd, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054. Her graveside service will be held on Friday, April 8th, 2022 at 11:00AM at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562. Please arrive to the cemetery by 10:45AM.
