Obituary for Joan S. Brown (Schoenstein)
A long-time resident of Mount Laurel passed away, Sunday March 10, 2024.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA, graduating from Little Flower High School and attending St. Joseph's University. A member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish. She worked for IBM, before becoming a homemaker and mother, then for Marlton Auto Parts.
She was married for 55 years to William J. Brown who preceded her to heaven in January 2022.
Surviving are her sons, William (Jennifer), Michael (Millicent) and daughter Eileen (Dennis). Her grandchildren, Sean Lurty, Christine, Patrick and Conrad Brown, will sadly miss her. Also many nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her to heaven were her brothers, Francis and George and sister Eileen.
Relatives and friends are welcome to her viewing on Saturday, March 23rd, from 9:30-10:30AM at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Rd, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054. Her funeral mass will follow at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 42 W. Main Street, Moorestown, NJ 08057. Interment will follow mass at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Philadelphia, PA.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations in Joan's memory be made to Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, or to Sisters of Life, 38 Montebello Road, Suffern, NY 10901
