Obituary for Joan K McGirr (Potter)
Joan K. McGirr (nee Potter), age 88, of Mount Laurel, NJ passed away while surrounded by loving family on Tuesday, October 29, 2019.
Mrs. McGirr was born and raised in Riverside, NJ and raised a family of her own in Delran, NJ before moving to Mount Laurel in 1987. Joan was extremely fond of going to the shore, especially Atlantic City. But above all, she was an extremely devoted wife and mother and will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind.
Joan was predeceased by her beloved spouse of 49 years, George McGirr. She is survived by her children, Barbara Kelly (Joe), George McGirr; sister, Audrey Potter; and many cousins.
A viewing will be held on Friday, November 1st from 10:00 to 11:00 AM immediately followed by the funeral service, both at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 1 Hartford Road, Medford, NJ 08055. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Laurel Emergency Medical Services at
