Obituary for John Thomas Funda II

John Thomas Funda II, 65, of Lumberton New Jersey passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones.

John was born on June 16, 1957, in Syracuse, New York to the late Patricia A. and John T. Funda. He was raised in North Tonawanda New York but settled in Lumberton New Jersey towards the end of his life and career. He attended and graduated Cardinal O’ Hara High School where he also coached ice hockey after graduating. John went on to work as a Lieutenant at the E. Windsor police department where he retired in 2005. John was known as an avid Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed cheering on his children during their sporting events and practices. John was the Director of the E. Windsor Police Athletic League, completed over 50 police schools, was a state certified firearms instructor and a certified traffic accident reconstructionist. John will be deeply missed.

John is survived by his loving life mate Barbara Carillon; Sons, Jon Tyler, and Daus Ayden Funda; Sisters Joyce Funda, Debra Sanders (Joel), Mary Welch (Timothy), Suzanne Harmer, and Patricia Medvetz (Brian); Many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, his Uncle Robert Funda, and many extended family members (Woods Family)
John is predeceased by his stepson Erick Carillon, his sister Nancy Taylor, and his brother Michael Funda.

A service for family, close friends and colleagues will be held in the Lake View Pavilion/Gazebo at Historic Smithville Park from 11am-12:30pm in Eastampton Township, NJ on Sunday, October the 2nd. We love you and miss you so much dad.
