Obituary for John "Giovanni" Guglietta

John "Giovanni” Guglietta, 93, of Voorhees, New Jersey, was called to Heaven on April 14, 2024.

Born in Fondi, Italy to the late Agostino and Assunta Guglietta, John was one of 12 children.  He came to America in 1956 to seek a better life and became a US citizen in 1964. John met his wife Patricia at Dancette in late 1961. They married in September of 1966. John was a resident of Marlton since 1969. Prior to retiring, John was an artisan of bricklaying and masonry contracting, always seeking perfection in his craft.  A strong-willed gentleman with an old school mentality, John was set in his ways and went through life “his way”.  He enjoyed activities such as dancing, drawing, playing Bocce and Italian cards, making wine with his own grapes, and watching soccer and boxing. His devotion to his vegetable garden made many meals more special with the fruits of his labor.  But above all, John enjoyed time spent with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Beloved husband of 57 years to Patricia A. (nee Foster) Guglietta; loving father of Lisa Ann (the late Joseph) Cirillo and Brenda Ann (Joseph) Kiley; devoted grandfather of Dmitri Giovanni, Natalya Vienna and Giulietta Adrianna; dear brother of Maria, Vittorio, Domenico, and Paolo.  John is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins across the world. John was predeceased by his siblings Leopoldo, Italia, Giuseppina, Assunta, Carmina, Benito, and Umberto.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend John's visitation on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Saint Joan of Arc Church, 100 Willow Bend Road, Marlton, New Jersey where the Mass will follow at 11:00 AM.  Interment will take place privately.
