Obituary for John L. "Jack" Hinkle
John L. Hinkle “Jack”, of Mount Laurel, NJ passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 25, 2022, at the age of 92. Jack was born and raised in Frackville, PA and raised his family in Sharon Hill, PA, working as a printer before retiring and moving to the Rancocas Woods area of Mt. Laurel, NJ.
Jack was a warm and loving man that was devoted to his family, whom he loved spending time with. He especially enjoyed fishing/crabbing, backyard barbecues, reading the newspapers, following Philadelphia sports teams, watching the news, chatting with family on the phone, tinkering around the house and was known to be quite neighborly. His favorite thing to do was eating his wife Janice’s cooking. Jack was active with the Mount Laurel Senior Groups and even helped raise funds for their Community Center. His favorite senior activity at the Center was playing billiards. He was strong in his faith and a longtime member of Calvary Bible Church, where he greatly enjoyed attending “The Lunch Bunch”. Jack will be missed deeply by his family and friends.
Jack was the beloved husband to Janice (nee Haggerty) and cherished dad to Lewis Hinkle and Rebecca Reagle. He is predeceased by his sister Harriet and brother James “Jim”. Jack had many titles including “Honey”, “Dad”, “Pop”, “Buddy”, “Grandpa”, “Grandpa Jack”, “Great-Grandpop”, “Great-Great-Grandpop”, Neighbor and Friend.
Family and friends are invited to attend Church Service on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at 10:30 am followed by 1pm Memorial Service at Calvary Bible Church, 445 Masonville Centerton Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054.
