Joseph W. Berger, 91, of Hainesport, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on June 7, 2023 with his family by his side.

Born and raised in Pennsauken, New Jersey, Joseph was a resident of Delran for 29 years prior to moving to Hainesport where he has resided for the past 32 years.  A proud United State Army Veteran, Joseph served from 1952 to 1954.  Prior to retiring in 1989, Joseph was a service manager for Pitney Bowes for over 30 years.  He was a longtime active parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Hainesport where he served as an usher and was involved in the Knights of Columbus for all of his adult life.  He was a 4^th degree knight and was a former grand knight and treasurer.  In his spare time he enjoyed reading the Wall Street Journal and Burlington County Times every day with his beloved wife in their sunroom. Joseph also loved gardening and planted flowers at his home every spring including this spring at 91 years old.

Beloved husband of 68 years to Dolores M. (nee Eshleman); devoted father of Donna Walker, Daniel (Renee), Denise (Thomas) Huelster, Dolores (Richard Mallonee) Berger; cherished grandfather of April, Christopher, Sarah, Danielle, William and great grandfather of Nathan, Lila and Carter.  Joseph is predeceased by his parents, William J. and Marie (nee Grill) Berger. 

Relatives and friends are invited to Joseph's viewing on Sunday evening, June 11, 2023, 6:00 - 8:00 PM and Monday morning, June 12, 2023, 9:30 -10:30 AM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054.  Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, 11:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 1603 Marne Highway, Hainesport, NJ  08036.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
