Obituary for Judith Ann Armbruster (Gefri)
Devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. Judith Ann Armbruster (nee Gefri) passed away on June 15, 2023 at the age of 81. She was born to Mildred and Fred Gefri in Newark, NJ. She attended Irvington High School where she met Robert (Bob), her husband of over 60 years. She graduated in 1959 as Treasurer of her senior class.
Upon graduation, she worked as a Secretary in the Industrial Relations Department for Public Service in Newark, NJ. She then worked as a manager in a psychiatrist’s office in Mt. Laurel, NJ for many years following.
After living in many different locations upon the east coast, Judy settled in Mt. Laurel, NJ for 43 years, accompanied by her husband, Bob, and two sons, Kenneth Armbruster (Ali) and Gregg Armbruster (Nancy). She is also the loving grandmother to Stephanie, David (Lily), and McKayla. As well as great-grandmother to Penelope.
Sister to the late, Fred Gefri (Bernice), along with loving nieces and nephews, Scott, Sandra, and the late Micheal. She was sister-in-law to Charles Armbruster (Sally), with caring nephews, John and Bob. In addition to the family, she made many memories with her best friend of over 30 years, Gail Jones.
Judy had compassion for all animals but mainly German Shepards. She rescued and adopted 7 over the course of 60 years, including Shep, Gunner, Barney, Bear, Chase, Annie, and the current, Shelby. Instead of flower donations, please give contribution to the Voorhees Animal Orphanage, 419 Cooper Rd, P.O. 1363, Voorhees, NJ 08043.

Friends and family are welcome to her viewing on Monday, June 19, 2023 from 6:00-8:00PM. Interment will be private at Pequest Union Cemetery in Great Meadows, NJ. Arrangements made by Mount Laurel Home for Funerals.
