Obituary for Judith Ann Penton

Judith Ann Penton

Judith A Penton (Judy), 77, of Mays Landing, NJ, originally from Pennsauken, NJ, passed away on October 7th, 2020, at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, after a tough battle with a non-contagious meningitis she suffered as a result from a successful brain surgery to remove meningiomas that were increasing in size, causing vision loss.
Judy had a heart of gold and helped many in any way that she could. She loved dachshunds and gave many a stray kitty a loving home.

Judy was known for her witty sarcasm and kept us all laughing and smiling. She enjoyed reading a good mystery, crafting, and gardening. She loved going out to restaurants because that way her kitchen stayed clean! There were many vacations down the shore spent with good friends and family.

Judy will be dearly missed by her daughter, Lona Penton Sergi (Philip Sergi), her son, John Penton (Debbie Penton), her granddaughter, Krystal Wood, and her great-grandson Brayden Wood, as well as many more family and friends. She is predeceased by her loving husband, William Penton, and beloved mother, Mary Keenan.
Judy was born, December 6, 1942, in Camden, NJ. She is a graduate of Merchantville High School, class of 1959. She also attended Pearce College of Philadelphia after high school. She was employed by Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ, for over 40 years before retiring.

At Judy’s request, services will be private. If you’d like, you may make a donation, in honor of Judy and her love for animals, to the Animal Welfare Association, 509 Centennial Blvd, Voorhees, NJ 08043, or at their website: https://support.awanj.org/make-a-memorial-or-tribute-gift
