Obituary for Laura Wells Vorndran (Barnes)
Laura W. Vorndran (nee Barnes), 96, of Cherry Hill, NJ was called home peacefully on Sunday, February 25, 2024. Laura was born August 24, 1927 to the late Mary and LeRoy Barnes. Laura is predeceased by her loving husband Theodore.
Being blessed to have lived for 96 years, Laura saw so many changes in the world – such as using an outhouse on the farm to indoor plumbing, no television to a smart TV and many wars. She worked at RCA, spent time at the family beach house, and traveled with friends. After she married, she was a devoted wife and mother. In between running girls to activities, volunteering as a Girl Scout leader and active in church she still found time to bowl, spend time at the beach, concerts at the Latin Casino, and spending time with friends. Once the grandchildren arrived, life revolved around the grandchildren. How they all made her life more special in their own unique way!

Relatives and friends are invited to Laura’s visitation on Saturday, March 2, from 1PM – 2PM with a brief service at 2PM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Laura’s name to Guiding Eyes for the Blind (www.guidingeyes.org), a nonprofit that provides trained guide dogs to individuals with vision loss.
