Obituary for Leonard T Napoli

Leonard Thomas Napoli, age 70, of Mickleton, NJ passed away in the comfort of his own home while surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, February 20, 2021.

Mr. Napoli was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and had resided in Swedesboro, NJ before moving to Mickleton 35 years ago. He was a graduate of Saint Joseph’s Preparatory School in Philadelphia and then went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from Temple University. Len was extremely passionate in regards to baseball and football. While he was most well-known for being an avid NY Yankee and KC Chiefs fan, he also spent many summer seasons coaching his son’s T-Ball and minor league baseball teams.

Len cultivated many great memories by taking his family to various different football games which featured the Kansas City Chiefs. Whether it was a home game at Arrowhead or an away game in one of the major Northeast cities, he would parlay the trip with another one of his passions, enjoying a good meal. He delighted in dinner dates with his family and romantic meals with his love. When Len was alone, he could be found furthering his passion for writing, or attending an occasional baseball card convention.

Later in life, he and Theresa took up ballroom dancing, which they thoroughly enjoyed doing together and with their new-found friends. He was also finally able to achieve his coveted “bucket-list” item of becoming a published author with the creation of Brown Dog. Len was an extremely compassionate, sensitive and highly intelligent man, who valued everyone that existed within his circle. He will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind.

Leonard leaves behind his beloved spouse, Theresa Napoli (nee Boyle); sons, John Napoli and Matt Napoli; grandchildren, Hailey and Nathan; cousin, Robert Mele (Peg).

A viewing will be held on Saturday, February 27th from 9:30 to 11:00 AM, immediately followed by the funeral service, both at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ. Interment will be at Park View Cemetery in Medford, NJ.
