Leslie H. Freas (nee Hamilton), age 63, of Mount Laurel, NJ passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 22, 2020.

Leslie was born and raised in Salisbury, MD before moving to Mount Laurel 35 years ago. She passionately worked as an ER nurse, and ultimately transitioned to working as a hospice nurse later in her career. Leslie was the consummate caretaker, and devoted her life to helping her children and the lives of others. She was an avid fisherwoman through the years, and was not shy about out-fishing anyone who joined her. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family and friends, and will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind.

Leslie is survived by her children, Ashley, Adam, Kendall; sister, Laura Hamilton; twin sister Linda Hamilton; brother, Ford Hamilton; Stepbrother, Jeffrey Payne; grandchildren, Luna Bo, Ollie.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 29th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ. Final disposition will be private. Memorial contributions in Leslie’s name may be made to Samaritan Hospice at www.

Wow, I met Leslie in 1975 at Western Maryland College. I was a fish out of water and Leslie took me under her wing and was so sweet to me. I ended up naming my daughter after her; middle name the same as hers, Kyle. I left after the first semester and we lost touch. Imagine my shock years later watching terminator! I reached out to find her again before google but didn’t have any luck. I can’t believe she was so close all these years. I still have a ring she gave me for Christmas that year in college. I’m so saddened to hear of her passing way too soon in this life but it sounds like she always kept that kind and caring spirit that helped an awkward college freshman so many years ago. So sorry for your loss.

I had the pleasure in meeting Leslie at the UPS Store where she would bring so much joy and laughter. She always made me feel special even though she was the special one. She loved telling me stories about her sister Linda and her other family members. She also talked about her fur babies. I am going to miss you very much. Lorrianne Z
