Obituary for Marie M Putiri
Marie M. Putiri (nee Mignone), age 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 20, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Marie was born on June 21, 1928 in Camden, NJ to the late Nicholas and Jennie Mignone. She was a former resident of Pennsauken, NJ before moving to Mount Laurel, NJ 28 years ago. She graduated from Mount Carmel Business School and Camden Commercial College. She was a member of the Merchantville Women’s Club. In her leisure time, Marie watched the daily mass on the TV while saying the rosary. She also enjoyed cooking, reading, watching the Philadelphia Phillies, and spending summers in Atlantic City. She loved her “granddog”, Benny. Above all else, she cherished the time spent with her family and friends.
Marie was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph “Whitey” Putiri, sister Yolanda Thomas, and brother Rudy Mignone. She is survived by her son Joseph, daughter-in-law Donna, granddaughter Alyssa Marie, sister Lillian Ragone, and brother-in-law Daniel Ragone. Marie is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, December 6th, 2021 at Our Lady of Good Council Roman Catholic Church, 42 W. Main Street, Moorestown, NJ 08057. Final disposition will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Marie’s name may be made to Voorhees Animal Orphanage, 419 Cooper Road, Voorhees, NJ 08043.
