Marni Shanel Penn was born on Monday, March 2nd 1970. She loved the Lord and leaned into his unwavering love for her. After high school and relocating to North Carolina Marni pursued her management career at Duke University in 2016. After later relocating to Atlanta Georgia, she landed a management contract position with Southwest airlines out of Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International airport. Marni would then move onto providing security services to one of the largest security firms in the state of Georgia where she was a well-respected senior patrol officer.

After a 2nd stage Breast Cancer diagnosis and later remission, the cancer returned claiming her life. Marni passed peacefully and gracefully in the arms of her beloved wife while surrounded by family and medical staff. She was not alone as God called her home to rest in his eternal arms in Heaven.

Marni is pre-deceased by her father Edward McCoy Green, US Army and her dog child Myles Davis. She is survived by her spouse Sherrell Penn; Parents Earle and Dorothea Penn; her step-children Mykia, Patrick and Dakota; Siblings Crystal, Corey, Leasha, Michael, Eboni and Shane along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend her celebration of life service on Monday, December 19, 2022 starting 1PM at Mt. Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Rd, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054.
