Obituary for Mary T. McDevitt (Rodden)
Mary T. McDevitt (nee Rodden), age 91, passed away on April 13, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born, raised, and resided in Philadelphia, before moving to Mount Laurel, NJ 21 years ago. Mary was a teacher for the School District of Philadelphia for over 30 years. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and traveling with her husband, but most of all cherished the time she spent with her family.
Mary was predeceased by her husband of 34 years, John J. McDevitt; her brother, James and her sisters, Catherine Coyle and Anne Rafferty. She is survived by her children, John (Maria), Michael, Mary Watson, Jeanne McDevitt (Frank), Brian, Mark, Ann McBride (Denis), Donna Hall (Jim), Scott (Wendy), Diane Barnett (Veronica) and Paul (Samantha); her brothers, Skip, Kevin and Michael Rodden and her sister, Patricia McDonough. Also survived by 23 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Funeral Mass on Thursday April 22, 2021 at 10:30am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 42 W. Main Street Moorestown, NJ 08057. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis Inn Ministries PO Box 3746 Philadelphia PA 19125-0746 or to Project Home Development Dept., 1515 Fairmount Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19130.
